'Aafii had his circumcision today. While 'Aqiil did it at 11 days old, 'Aafii had his done at 35 days old. Ayie was pretty busy with work and since I stayed at my own place during confinement, he was needed around the house..
The circumcision took place at Dr. Zailan's Clinic at Chong Pang and cost $120. It was quite a steal compared to 'Aqiil's $200 circumcision. I also got to witness the process and it was quite an experience. I wonder how many penises Dr. Zailan circumcise since he is definitely an expert. 'Aafii cried when he was held down and he peed on the Dr.
After the procedure he was quite okie. There was a boy outside waiting for his turn and he looked very worried when he heard 'Aafii's cries. Lol.. And I for sure know, my son would not go through such anxiety..

So three days after 'Aafii was born, he had his 'Aqiqah done. I am not sure where my mom got her contacts but we manage to get 2 sheeps which was extras from the Haji season and did 'Aafii's Aqiqah within hari Tashriq itself.
With the help of Pak Hitam and his friends together with Ayie, they manage to get everything done, pretty fast. I was pissed with mom initially coz they was no manpower and everything seems to be in a rush. Mad mad rush and was pretty relieved that it went smoothly.
Mom took some of the meat and cook Daging Kicap and Beefsteak and it was superb.. THe meat was super soft and there was no smell at all..
Confinement was a huge challenge coz I had to do everything on my own. Ayie was such a good help and at times I got quite pissed with him due to the inbalance hormones and all but he was such a darling, being so patient...
I was also having mixed feelings due to the stress and all and was thinking why I had to go through all the pain and inconvenience. Milk production was also hard and it was so tiring having to pump 6 times a day. 'Aafii wasn't latching... But Alhamdullilah, my research, constant advise from friends and support from Ayie, I made it. Now I pump so much milk that baby is on full breastmilk. I even had to throw a lot away since there was no more space to keep the milk. I am already having about 60 8oz bottles frozen. So I throw the old and replace with the new.
Fenugreek is a godsend. It definitely increase your milk supply. I was pumping about 46oz everyday with fenugreek and now without fenugreek, I pump about 36oz. I think I'll go back to fenugreek when I get back to work to ensure I have ample supply of milk.
So now I can give advise on how to get lots of breastmilk and if you need any tips and encouragement, you know who to call ya...

The chaos from Ain's wedding is over, so now I am gonna start blogging bout my labour...
When we came back from Ain's wedding, I saw the bloody show.. So the google me went to search on the net what it meant.. SO since it was stated that there is nothing to worry about as it is an indication that labour will begin in 2-3 days times, we went to bed.
Ayie wentt to work on Monday and I stayed home with 'Aqiil. There was more blood patch and I consulted friends on what I should do.. Huda, my cousin in law told me to proceed to KK since she had the same experience.. But the stubborn me decide to wait out.. I am not gonna allow myself to be strapped on the bed coz the contractions would seem to hurt even more. And this time round, I am gonna try not to use epidural..
So in the evening, I start feeling some contractions like an hour apart. Ayie was still not back home as he had to attend class. So I watched TV and played with 'aqiil in between the contractions. At 11pm, Ayie came home and I ate mee goreng in between the contractions. I was telling Ayie that perhaps we should send 'Aqiil to my mom's place just in case we need to rush to the hospital in the wee hours.. So at 12.45am, Irah came to fetch 'Aqiil and at 1am, I told Ayie we should go to the hospital. Ayie said "Serious ker yang?? SMalam nyer penat blom abis nie, you serious nak branak nari??", Boleh gitu?? We packed our bag and bring along the names books since we haven't finalise the name and we left for KK. My contractions were bout 5 mins apart and the taxi driver had to make a wrong turn into the expressway.. Cobaan..
So at 1.35am, we arrived at KKH and I was wheeled into the delivery suite.. So the nurse said that they need to monitor me.. So 20 mins later, I told the nurse that I need the gas..

The gas makes me feel like Im in cloud nine.. I think this is how drug addicts feel after a fix..

Then I couldnt hold the mask myself, I got Ayie to help..
Then 15 mins later, I told the nurse I felt like pushing... The nurse was kinda shock. She asked if it's okie to check how much my cervix have opened and I said okie. I wanted to asked how much I've dilated but looking at her, busy setting up the room, I think I should be fully dilated. Another nurse came in to burst my waterbag and then she told me I can push.. I still remember telling her that it feels so good to push..
So the doctor came, 4-5 push later at 2.38am, Muhammad 'Aafii Roziiq Bin Muhammad Azhari was born weighing 3.655kg and measuring 49cm. There wasn't any shots of 'Aafii while he was being weigh caused everything happen so fast..

My baby boy...

After the chaos.. Very tired...
After this, I felt another urge to push, I was like, eh still got one more baby ker?? It's actually the placenta lah..
Then after the delivery, although still very tired, I couldnt sleep coz I was too busy with my handphone..
My neighbour came to visit..

And there was Zaki's parents and sister and niece..

And also Hafiz and his gf. Hafiz is Ayie's colleague..

I'm A KKH baby..

I had a lot of reservations when I chose to go to KK for this baby since I've heard all the horror stories but I had a very pleasant experience. The nurses in the delivery suite was real nice, giving me lots of motivation and guidance during labour. The nurses at my Ward 82 Room 21 were also very nice. They inform us when they are changing shifts. There was one indian nurse who even chatted with me and told me bout fenugreek. Ayie said maybe it's because we take a single bedded ward so it comes with good service but nevetheless we paid a fraction of what we paid at Raffles and I think the service was even better at KK. So I will definitely recommend people to have their babies there...
That very night, Ayie did the takbir after Maghrib prayers. Just me, Ayie and 'Aafii. It would be even better with 'Aqiil around.. It was just quiet and peaceful..
We checked out on the 17 November 2010 and it's Hari Raya Aidiladha..

Yay, at home.. After this, bout 2 hrs later, relatives came to my place. We had a short prayer, some food to celebrate the newborn..

That's 'Aqiil photo by the sidel.. We wanted to see if they look similar...
And while Ibu is confined at home, 'Aqiil had a ball of a time with Ayah.. He was going swimming every weekend..
See..
So I am done with the baby thingy.. So more stories will be up on the next pumping session...

:: Ancient History ::
And what year is it now?? 2011?? Goodness, I have'nt even blog about my experiences in 2010 and it's already 2011. So what I am gonna blog is kinda ancient here.. Past year events..
Anyway, I was thinking about what to blog while I lay in bed. Oh prior to 16 November 2010, I sleep early, now bedtime is at 2am. That's the earliest...Well we will come to that later..
I think I'm gonna blog according to dates so that I can remember which events takes place on which day.. Although I am blessed with a photographic memory, it is failing me.. It doesnt function like last time where I can memorize doas, surahs, notes and all kinda stuff in a short period, now some stuff gets out faster then they get in.. Okie Sidetrack here..
So I tell myself that I am gonna blog while I am pumping.. During my second pump... So that way I can ensure that I will be able to catch up..
12 November 2010 - Friday
Okie so we start with Ain's wedding... It was definitely a very very tiring weekend since the preparations starts on Thursday itself.. There weren't much help that Ain the bride and myself and my day had to bring all the things down.. I was already very very late in my pregnancy and a big tummy with an active toddler is definitely not a good combo..
There was some hiccups like the tentage was not fixed despite it being 1pm already. They only come at about 3pm and there was not enough time to get it ready for the solemnisation. So there was plan B. Do it at the void deck. Luckily Ain was not the spoilt bride.. She was okie with anything..
So alhamdulillah, everything went well for this day.. So here presenting the newlyweds..

13 November 2010 - Saturday
There was just some people rewang rewang at my place on this day as Ain will be at Zaki's place as the reception for the groom was helpon this day..
But the weather at my place was notorious.. The plates and bowls were all flying and I was running to save the flying plates when I heard people screaming for me to stop.. OH i forgot that I was pregnant. LOl...

Ain before leaving for Zaki's place.. Gorgeous huh..

The dais at Zaki's place..
14 November 2010 - Sunday
Oh this is where hell breaks lose.. As some of you mighht already know.. My parents are super duper popular and they have tons of friends..So just imagine the crowd.. I was up very early to get the food ready.. I was determined to ensure that everything goes smoothly and no one will complain that there is not enought food.. There was nasi kampung with like 7-8 dishes, the briyani, lontong, laksa, bubur ayam, tau huay and lots and lots of food. It was a huge spread.. So there I was running around.. At times my back was hurting so much but I had to endure and ensure everything is okie before I even think of surrendering and yet again, all was nice and well..

A family potrait..

These two mak enon, I cannot tahan.. They very overlah.. More over than the bride and groom.. Like seriously..

They help carry the bride's gown..

Then they hug..

While people are busy concentrating on the cake cutting ceremony, they sat on the dais and step pengantin..

And they happily walk, hand in hand..
And the while parents fret when they child get all intimate with a girl, these two kepochis parents and grandparents and aunties and uncles gets very excited and end up encouraging them.. lol
So despite all the rush here and there, I will say that I enjoyed every moment..
So much that I cried..

:: Play time ::
We made a change in our routine now. For the past two nights, after we bring 'aqiil home from parents' place, we play with him in the playroom. He is really enjoying it judging from the laughter and screams. We even sand twinkle twinkle little stars and 'Aqiil follow the actions that I act out. I feel like a nursery teacher.

Looking at how busy he is, it's easy to tell that he love his playtime. He also love to play ball with Ayie. Kick or throw in the net. He will shriek with laughter. It also help relieve our fatigue for the day.
After playtime, Ayie will cut fruits and after a serving of fruits, it milk and sleep.
So hopefully today we will continue with this new routine of us..
I bought 'Aqiil's birthday present at Toy r Us just now. Now I have to lug it home. Wanted to get it at Metro but they no longer have it so not much of a choice. I also bought crayola for him so he can do some colouring. This is to prepare him for school next year. Next I need to print pictures for him to colour. Irah drew some for him yesterday and they are nice. If only I can draw as well as Irah.
Oh check out my dad scooter. Pimp my scooter that is..

So who wanna joing me for a ride. I on my engine first.

:: My girls ::
The lucky thing about me is that, I need to give birth only twice and yet I have four kids. One boy who is turning two this Sunday and two girls who turned 4 months on the 1st October. Then come November or maybe even early Dec, I will have one more boy. So I am a mother of four. Wakakkaa...
So since I've been talking about my boys this past few entries, let's concentrate on my girls today.

Aren't they adorable?? Look at those thighs.. Kalau aku dapat gigit tu peha.. aku kenyam kenyam kan.. LoL..
They entered the world at 2.1kg and 2.9kg respectively and now look how they have fatten up... I was telling Su, they look so like Bean and Ayie said babies and their Umi contrast coz Umi is slim sungguh.. Su said that over time, if she still lose weight, she might just disappear. Kekkee.. It's okie dear, once they are a bit older, Insyallah, it will be so much easier on you. Then it will be so fun when we bring all four of them for outings.. yahooo.. I can't wait for that...
I miss them so much. The last time I met them was during their cukor rambot and then when we went to JB, there was only Anyssa.. I'm sure they have begin to baby talk and soon they will be sitting up and walking.. Then our baby will have one abang and two kakaks to play with...
I think we will need to forgo plans to raya at their place as I am really tired already and the thoughts of going out will tire me even further. I prefer to just lepak at home..
Oh I made kuih bakar jagung last night and shared with my colleagues. Actually it is meant for Noren and I but since there was quite a lot, I gave some my colleagues some. They said it was nice and not that sweet. To me and Ayie, it is like super sweet lah and I am sure to reduce the amount of sugar and condensed milk the next time I make it. The taste would be more palatable then... So here's the recipe.

(Photo courtesy of Rozzan's. I forgot to take a picture of my Kuih Bakar)
Kuih Bakar Jagung
1 cup flour
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup condensed milk
2 eggs
1 can cream of corn
1 cup corn kernels } optional, I think it will be crunchy
2 teaspoon vanilla essence }optional, I add coz I don't like it to taste very egg-y
some yellow colouring
some sesame seeds
1. Use a blender and blend all the ingrediens until well mixed except the corn kernels and sesame seeds
2. Add the corn kernels and blend a bit to mix well
3. Pour in a non stick baking tray and sprinkle the sesame seeds on top
4. Bake at 160 degrees for about an hour.

:: @ 32 weeks ::
Time really flies... I have about 8 more weeks plus minus two more weeks. My colleagues are work are all commenting at how huge my tummy is. There is this guy Ranjeet who asked me to go home. He is kinda cute.. He said when his wife gets pregnant, he will send her back to her mom's place coz he is terrified of pregnant worman and in the event of an emergency, he won't know what to do. He even asked the guy who sit next to me to take care of me and if anything happen, don't call him coz he will pass out. LoL..
I went visiting last Saturday. My neighbours open house, then drop by my parents coz Mom bought Ayie satay. Ayie told her on Friday that he wants to eat satay and on saturday, the satay is there. How lucky... I told mum, if I wanna eat unta how.. She say, aiyah in Singapore also can find unta. But no thanks for the unta.. lol.. After that we went to Ayie's parent's place and by the time we reach home, it was almost 10.30pm. I'm like so tired. Luckily, we took a cab..
Sunday was spent at home. I cooked beef soup. The ones which rempah like those mama stall ones. The beef was super tender. And I think I will just get beef from the market via my mom instead of getting from cold storage. It's much cheaper and it is of better quality.
Awang and Rin drop by to visit and 'aqiil played with Rin. He must be very happy to have some company at home...
everyday is a drag now. My eyes gets sleepy ever so often. I was trying to help Ayie hand the laundry last Sunday. After just two pieces, I feel like fainting. I stopped to rest and then hand another two pieces. It takes so long to finish one pile. And that is also with all the cold sweat and stuff.
'Aqiil is well behaved at home but when he steps out of the house, goodness.. He unleash the dragon lah. He runs around non stop and he gets so talkative. Okie he's talkative even at home. I seriously cannot decipher what he said to me. Yesterday he woke up and he said, tik nak tik nak.. I was like.. what 'aqiil? Tik Tik. And he showed me his fingers. He wants to jentik me lah.. Just like when he's naughty and I want to jentik him. And on Saturday, he spilled one whole can of milk. His milk I must add. All the milk went to waste. And while I was busy cleaning up, he went to the room, remove his soiled diapers, ones with poo I must add, then throw in the rubbish bin. He gave me such a mischievious smile.. I didnt even end up hitting him. He was trying to be independent. So gasak kau lah nak..
He eat a lot of fruits. I think my dad who always feed him fruits and Ayie who also feed us with fruits played a big role in his fruit loving habit.

Look at my orange-y smile.. He followed what Ayie did. Excuse his mucus please.. kekkee

Him with jambu akak rose apples. He finish a whole big plate of fruit. I was contented with my limau bali.. Yummy...

And this was before the spilled milk and remove my diapers incident. You will only know how Ayah feel when you are in his shoes. So I wore his shoes, It really feels heavy...
Oh I wanna share my workstation pic that is full of photos. I wanted it to be all nice and informal seen I am supposed to be working in an all garang place. Wkakaka. Macam real...

First angle..

Second angle. But I heard, they are going to have the renovation soon so I might be moving from this place soon.. So sad..
Oh and congrats to Anum on the birth of her baby boy. Baby's birthday is only 10 days away from mummy. Can celebrate together eh..
And my condolences to our MM Lee and family on the dismiss of Mdm Lee.
